Before buying a rabbit from a responsible breeder or impulse buying at a pet store, check your local Animal Shelters! There are often rabbits of all shapes, sizes and personalities in desperate need of good homes. As a bonus, most shelters send them out pre-neutered (huge savings and you already know they made it through!) and you can see their final, adult personality instead of gambling on a baby. If you're not looking specifically for a quality purebred rabbit, see our "Rabbit Resources" page for some Animal Shelters around the Finger Lakes/Rochester Area.

Mini Rex Rabbits
We breed to produce friendly rabbits who adhere to the ARBA Standard of Perfection, with each new generation better than the last! Not every kit has the right qualities to join our breeding herd, and those rabbits get a chance to join another rabbitry or become part of a pet family.

Coat has excellent colour with good density but baby coat texture now.
Possibly compact-type, though hard to tell at this age with his bigger ears.
Hard to get a good idea of type due to his excitable nature - this boy loves nothing more than constantly moving. Posing is still a skill we're still practicing...as his exasperated expression might convey. Needs more depth over the midsection and more width to hindquarters.
*Zoomies, or "Twitches" as we've taken to calling him, is naturally skittish and easier to spook than our other buns. At the same time, he is incredibly inquisitive and explores at any opportunity. Quite fun to take him on a harness for adventures outside! This boy rarely stops moving and is always entertaining to watch roam.*

Coat is a beautiful sugary-white with excellent density and texture.
Brood-type with very good hindquarters and midsection with a strong shoulder. Good depth.
Could use a little more fullness over her loin and a slightly wider set to her hind feet.
*This little girl is extremely confident and explorative, always looking for new places to bonk with her nose. Spritz loves her cookie treats! More on the independent side, she appreciates her solo-time between outings.*

Coat has good colour with excellent density and soft texture. A few scattered white hairs.
Possible brood-type with good overall type. Nice depth and width.
Ears are a little on the long side, and could have more width at base of hindquarters.
*This girl is very soft and great as a lap bunny, but is more reserved in personality and slow to warm to sudden changes. Likes quieter environments and confident handling. Enjoys spring clover.*

Coat has darker Sable colour bordering on a light Seal variety. Has promising density and texture.
Compact-type with good length and balance and nice shoulder.
Peaks a little early and needs more width to her hindquarters. More depth over the topline would help her midsection as well.
*Quill is a sweet little girl who comes right up to say hello! Still a bit shy like Echo's other kits, she's more laidback than most of them and has gained her confidence faster.*

Ancona "Spotted" Ducks
A great dual-purpose breed, laying 200+ eggs per year in their prime and producing a lean, tasteful meat as well as being a more friendly bird when worked with from ducklings. Each duck has unique markings and can come in multiple varieties such as Black and Chocolate.

As available: Duck Eggs are a favourite for baking due to their higher yolk-to-white ratio and fluffy, rich characteristics. They're also just amazing by themselves as over-easy, scrambled, quiche, etc!
